of automation and integrated solutions for North America and select international markets. Since 2003 we have been operating out of our head office in Calgary, Alberta with branch locations throughout western Canada and Texas.

White Tail Automation provides total integration of design, project management, panel manufacturing, installation/commissioning, maintenance and repair. Cam Marshall

CEO

Cam Marshall opened his first company, Marshall Controls, in 1992, the same year in which he graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary as a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician.  Since then, he has accumulated over 30 years of instrumentation, automation and technology experience and wisdom. Cam is constantly striving to create or improve the cutting edge technology in the oil and gas industry, and beyond.

In the fall of 2017, Cam started White Tail Automation, with its initial focus being to provide automation and control system services to the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico.  Wanting to focus his energies in Texas, Cam moved to Fort Worth in 2018.  White Tail Automation has achieved significant growth as an industrial technology service provider in the US, Canada and select international markets, in a very short period of time.  Cam leads by example in the expectation of excellence, and innovative spirit that sets White Tail Automation apart.

Earl Basnett

Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Growth

Earl started his career in the oil and gas industry working as a plant and field operator in 1990.  After 12 years he got into the business side owning 4 business’s and being an integral part of the success in others.  Joining White Tail Automation in 2020 he brings a passion for product development, customer service and quality workmanship. 

He has been happily married for over 27 years and is a father of 3 and enjoys fishing and travelling. 

Bobby Vaughn

Director of Strategic Accounts

Bobby is an operation professional with significant experience that spans over two decades. He is recognized as a strong leader and trusted advisor who not only meets but exceeds both client and company expectations. Bobby started his career in Durango, CO as an electrician working in residential and commercial construction. In 2004 he started working as an I&E Technician for a midstream company in Southeast New Mexico.

This is where his career exploded. Bobby was working in-house for several different major oil companies as well as on the service side of the business. During this time, he had the privilege of working and learning from fantastic mentors. This allowed Bobby to grow into more senior roles within organizations including branch manager to Vice President of Operations.

In his spare time, Bobby enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and two kids.

Richard Acosta

Permian Sales Manager

Richard has been in the Automation and measurement industry since 2007. He started in a fabrication shop in Farmington, NM assembling and wiring meter run building skids. He then continued his venture with Automation-X from 2011-2021. Starting in a role in Farmington, NM as a warehouse specialist and worked his way to regional sales manager. He made the decision at that time to relocate his family to the Permian basin in 2016 and have since made Hobbs, NM his home.

Richard joined White Tail Automation in January 2022 and has made a big impact on the success of the organization.  Richard is extremely proficient at providing quality service to all clients.

Richard is a husband and father of three and is very active in the community.

Sean Torwalt

Director of Corporate Development

Starting in the Oil and Gas industry in 2003, Sean pursued a career as an Instrumentation Technician. Throughout the booms and busts, Sean continued to grow his portfolio and accountabilities. Over the last 10 years, he has worn many hats, including Technician Coordinator, Senior Project Manager, Director of Operations, and, most recently Director of Corporate Development. 

Sean’s decade at White Tail Automation (formerly Globalflow Inc.) has given him unique insight into the company’s operations, strategy and technical roadmap. He has built a reputation as a reliable performer with a relentless drive for efficiency and improving client experience. With close to 20 years in the industry, Sean is a lifelong learner – no task is too big or too small for him to support. At home in Calgary, Alberta, Sean enjoys playing golf, watching all types of professional sports and getting outside with his daughter Camila.

Travis Hunter

White Tail Automation Rockies Area Manager

Travis grew up in Grande Prairie, AB and started Instrumentation in the RAP Program in Grade 11 with Tarpon Energy. After graduating high school, he completed 3 years of apprenticeship at NAIT. Travis later branched into Combustion Specialty while doing shift work in Vernal, Utah where he ended up moving in 2011. A year later, Travis relocated to Denver, CO and returned to doing Instrumentation full time while finishing his last year of school at RDC.

Travis worked as a Journeyman Instrument Tech with Tarpon/PTW in Greeley, Co until he obtained an Instrumentation Manager role in 2017. He joined the White Tail Automation team in October 2021.

Travis is married to his wife, Kindra Hunter, and they have a 3 yr old Boxer named Mowgli. They enjoy traveling, skiing, and snowmobiling. Travis also plays hockey year-round and likes to golf as much as possible.
