Title: Inside Sales Representative
Group / Division: WTA / Products
Reports to: VP of Business Development
Direct Reports: Permian Sales Manager
Work Location: Midland, TX
Pay Type: Salary; Full-Time; Bi-Weekly
Position Overview
The Inside Sales Representative is the front-line contact for customers, suppliers, and employees within the business unit. This role’s focus is ensuring customer satisfaction by coordinating resources, troubleshooting, and solving problems, while delivering customer solutions. Successful execution of this role requires hands on selling, promoting, and demonstration to drive increased sales to existing customers and establish new customers. This person will be responsible for offering pricing in accordance with established margins and sources with existing suppliers to obtain price and delivery terms for non-stock items.
Major Duties:
- Sell, Market, Promote, and Demonstrate products
- Receive telephone or e-mail orders
- Process/deliver quotes
- Track and order Inventory
- Open and close storefront as needed
- Develop customer relationships
- Process customer payments on credit machine
- Process customer orders
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum High School Diploma, accounting, business, or inventory management courses recommended
- Bilingual is a plus
- Product and application knowledge on Solar, Power, Automation, Measurement and Electrical
- Computer skills, excel, word, QuickBooks (or accounting software experience), inventory tracking
- Ability to establish and maintain customer relations
- Ability to help build brand recognition in the company
- Shipping and receiving
- Experience with CRM’s
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma
- Inside Sales and/or procurement- 3 years
- Technical knowledge and or related experience on automation products
- Computer skills, excel, word, QuickBooks (or accounting software experience), inventory tracking
- Excellent communication skills
- Oil and Gas experience sales experience with related product line
Physical Requirements:
- Walking, occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use
- Finger agility for keyboarding
- Periods of sitting and standing may be necessary
- May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet business needs.
Working Conditions & Hazards:
- Work is typically performed routinely in an office or shop environment but has some outside work.
- Must be able to perform work that involves high pressure situations such as sales ordering and customer interface.
- If the individual visits the operations worksite, personal protective equipment including but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are required. Safety rules, including OSHA and DOT requirements, are strictly enforced.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel may be required to obtain and deliver products to customer locations. Company vehicle will be provided for this requirement.
