Title: VP Of Operations

Pay Type: Non-Exempt, Full Time, Bi-Weekly
The Whitetail VP of Operations will develop and implement strategy, direct and coordinate all operational activities for Whitetail Automation. This role is directly responsible for P&L performance and ensures the development and implementation of strategy, efficiency of operations and implementation of cost-effective systems and processes to meet current and future operational performance and financial goals.
Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of Whitetail Automation.
Develops and monitors short term and long-term operational plans, budgets, and KPI’s while ensuring operational performance consistent with those plans and objectives.
Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
Establishes and maintains a culture of teamwork while ensuring team members have the necessary technical acumen, core values, and personality traits
Collaborates with the Executive Leadership and peer leaders in the creation of a 3-year strategy for the Crimson Enterprises Group of Companies
Collaborate with Business Development team to identify new opportunities, emerging industry needs, and to develop key client relationships.
Ensure all administrative, safety, environmental, and training needs for the division are in compliance and being followed.
Required Qualifications & Skills
10+ Years in divisional leadership roles.
10+ years in electrical, automation, or related industries.
5+ years experience in capital budgeting, and/or financial planning
3+ years with Continuous Improvement or Business Process Implementation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong team building skills with the ability to create and communicate goals and objectives.
Proficient with common technology systems and a proven track record of optimizing their use.
Education and Experience
Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Technology Diploma, Electrical/Instrumentation J-man certification or related Engineering Degree
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an upper middle management role with P&L responsibility
10 plus years of hands-on experience with process control instrumentation and/or industrial electrical systems
- Various Advanced Education training in Leadership, Team Building, Strategy, Project Management, etc. will be considered an asset
Walking, occasional lifting to 35 lbs.
Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use
Finger agility for keyboarding
Periods of sitting and standing may be necessary
Travel and work outside of normal work schedule to meet business needs.
Working Conditions & Hazards:
- If the individual visits the operations worksite, personal protective equipment including but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are required. Safety rules, including OSHA and DOT requirements, are strictly enforced.
